I went to Navy Pier thinking it was one of those Chicago must-see spots, but it didn’t really live up to the hype for me. It mostly felt like a lot of crowds, food stands, and shops that seemed overpriced.

The lake view was definitely nice, and I got a few good photos, but after that I wasn’t sure what else I was supposed to do there. I kind of expected clearer signs or instructions about what was worth checking out, because it was hard to tell if I was missing something or if that was basically it.
Maybe it’s better if you have kids with you or just need a place to walk around for a while, but as a tourist, I probably would’ve rather spent that time exploring another part of the city.

I checked the site before heading over, and the hours were accurate, which I really appreciated. The event timing was easy to understand too, so I felt like I knew what to expect. My only small complaint is that I wish updates came through a bit quicker, especially when you’re trying to plan around them.

I checked navypier.org before my visit because I wanted to get a better idea of the shops, but the shopping section didn’t help much. If you’re just casually browsing and don’t care where you end up, it might be fine, but for actually planning ahead it felt thin. A lot of the listings were just basic names without much detail on prices, hours, or what they actually sell. For somewhere as popular as Navy Pier, I expected the site to be more useful. I ended up feeling like I wasted my time looking through it.

I was poking around the site it just felt a little off to me. Some pages were loading really slow, and the whole time I kept thinking, “Do I really want to put my personal info in here?” Then suddenly I was like, nope, absolutely not today. I backed out before buying anything. Maybe the site is totally fine, but I didn’t feel like the security was clear enough to trust it

I had a good time. The seasonal events were fun and felt festive. It did get crowded, though. Still worth checking out.

I walked away feeling like my wallet had been through a tiny tragedy. Everything seemed to cost more than it should, and the total added up ridiculously fast for what you actually get.

It wasn’t a complete disaster or anything, but for that kind of money, I expected a lot more. By the end, I just kept thinking I could’ve spent that cash somewhere way better instead of paying the tourist-spot tax

I don’t think eating there was worth it. The food options felt overpriced for what they were, and everything just seemed kind of disappointing. We waited in a long line, my fries were cold, and then it was hard to even find a decent place to sit. Maybe I’m being picky, but for the price, I expected better. I’d probably just eat before going next time.

I didn’t even make it in. Drove around trying to find parking and just couldn’t... after a while I got frustrated and left, annoyed. Maybe I missed something, but yeah, not a great start.

We went to Navy Pier and, the restroom situation was frustrating. We ended up walking around way longer than we should have just trying to find one, and the signs weren’t much help. When we finally did find a restroom, it was packed and not exactly clean. For a place that gets that many visitors, you’d think it would be common sense to have more bathrooms or at least clearer directions.

The food was just way too expensive in my opinion. I get that everything costs more now, but still, it felt like I paid a lot and somehow that made the food taste less worth it. It wasn’t awful or anything, I just kept thinking about the bill the whole time.

I tried using it, but the menus were broken and a bunch of labels were just missing?? It made everything way more confusing than it needed to be.

This ride was not enjoyable at all. It was shaky pretty much the entire time and never felt smooth, so by the end I had a headache. I also made a basic request beforehand and it felt like they just brushed it off, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. Definitely wouldn’t do it again, and I don’t think it was worth the money

From the way the directions were written, I kind of assumed it would be a bit more straightforward than it ended up being, so I do think they could make that part clearer. I’m annoyed. The tickets cost way too much for what you actually get, and it feels like whoever set those prices is just taking advantage of people. I expected a lot more for the money, but it definitely wasn’t worth it.

It was boring overall. The way it was described made it sound a lot better than it actually was, but I guess that’s what you get with all that polished company wording. In real life, it just didn’t do much for me.

i tried buying tickets through navypier.org and the site kept freezing once i got to the payment page. i ended up getting charged, but didn’t receive an email for quite a while, so i was just sitting there stressing about whether it even went through. it was a frustrating experience.

We brought the kids thinking it would be a fun outing, but they got bored quickly. The crowds were a lot to deal with, and the bathrooms were a mess, which is just one of those basic things you’d expect to be kept under control. Overall, not very kid friendly in my opinion.

The fireworks were really nice, and it was super easy to find the info we needed ahead of time, which I always appreciate because I hate scrambling around last minute. It did get crowded toward the end, like suddenly everyone seemed to be packed in at once, but even with that, I still had a good time.
